Dr. Jil Hus is a native of Northwest Indiana and an alumnus of Purdue University Northwest, earning her Masters of Science in Mental Health Counseling and certificate in the use of Expressive Arts in counseling. In 2021, Dr. Hus earned her PhD in Counselor Education and Supervision from Walden University and serves as an Assistant Professor of Counselor Education Programs at Grand View University. Dr. Hus holds credentials as a licensed mental health counselor (LMHC) for the state of Indiana, licensed clinical professional counselor (LCPC) for the state of Illinois, approved clinical supervisor (ACS), and board-certified counselor with the National Board of Certified Counselors (NBCC). Her professional career outside academia includes her clinical work in private practice where she facilitates individual, couple, and family therapy sessions.
