Alumni Discount

Grand View is pleased to offer a discount to our Grand View University alumni to continue lifelong learning at Grand View.  Alumni are defined as individuals that have earned a bachelor’s or graduate degree from Grand View University. This offer includes a 15% discount for alumni, enrolling in a graduate degree (excluding Clinical Mental Health Counseling and School Counseling programs). Jacobson Fellowship

Graduate students in the Master of Education or Master of School Counseling program may be eligible for the Jacobson Fellowship,  a scholarship of $400 per semester for a student is enrolled in 3 credits or $800 for a student is enrolled in 6 or more credits per semester. Recipients must be accepted into the program, have earned an undergraduate cumulative GPA of 3.0 and must be nominated/recommended by a school or organization administrator. Renewal for a second year requires a 3.0 GPA in the master's program.

Master in Social Work Catalyst Scholarship

The Masters in Social Work Catalyst Scholarship is intended to support the education of a graduate student in the Masters of Social Work who shows promise as a strong catalyst for change. This scholarship gives preference to students whose personal characteristics reflect historically underrepresented populations in the profession, such as (but not limited to) diversity in race, ethnicity, sexual orientation, gender, gender identity, disability, language, socioeconomic status, national origin, age, faith, or culture. McDaniel Academic Dynasty Scholarship for Athletic Training

 

The McDaniel Academic Dynasty Scholarship for Athletic Training Scholarship is for enrolled students in the Master of Science in Athletic Training from an underserved or marginalized student population.

Direct Graduate Loans

Unsubsidized Direct Loan Program

The Unsubsidized Direct Loan is not need-based, and the government does not pay interest on this loan. Graduate students will have a 5.9% fixed interest rate and a 1.059% origination fee. While not required, it is recommended that the borrower makes payments on the interest while in school. Graduate students are eligible for up to $20,500 per year in the Unsubsidized Direct Loan program depending on eligibility. Learn more about federal student loans.

Graduate PLUS Loan A grad plus loan isa type of federal student loan for graduate and professional students to finance their education, including living expenses. It is a part of the direct PLUS loan program from the U.S. Department of Education. It requires a credit check and has a higher origination rate (4.228%) and interest rate (7.54%) than a direct unsubsidized loan. It allows students to borrow up to the full cost of attendance minus other financial aid, including the unsubsidized direct loan. It has flexible repayment plans. More information can be found here.
