Clinical Mental Health Counseling Program Achieves 100% Pass Rate

July 19, 2022

Grand View is excited to announce that of the students who took the state Clinical Mental Health Counseling licensing exam in the spring, 100% of them passed. Dr. Treye Rosenberger, Assistant Professor, Counselor Education and Program Director, says "We are very excited to see that our students have performed so wonderfully, especially when you consider when our program started – we have high hopes for the other students who will be taking their licensing exam soon."

Grand View announced the addition of a Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling degree in 2019. The program is designed to prepare students for direct entry into the practice of counseling and counseling-related fields. It is an online program with two weekend residencies and meets the Iowa Board of Behavioral Sciences Examiners licensing requirements as well as the national standards of the Center for Credentialing and Education.

Board certification shows colleagues and the public that students have voluntarily met high national standards for counseling. The National Certified Counselor (NCC) is NBCC's flagship certification for counseling.
