MSAT Receives 10 Year Reaccreditation
December 14, 2023
The Commission on Accreditation of Athletic Training Education (CAATE) has voted to grant 10 years of Continuing Accreditation to the Professional Athletic Training Program at Grand View.
Grand View’s Master of Science in Athletic Training began with a Fall 2017 cohort. The Departments of Kinesiology and Health Promotion and Athletic Training worked hard to develop a strong cutting-edge program at the graduate level, meeting the requirements by the Commission on Accreditation of Athletic Training Education, whereby all athletic training programs were required to move to the graduate level by Fall 2022.
Dr. Christopher Viesselman, Associate Professor of Kinesiology & Health Promotion, is proud. "We are very excited to have received our 10-year reaccreditation from the Commission on Accreditation of Athletic Training Education (CAATE). This highlights all the work of our faculty, staff, and administration developing and supporting the Master of Science in Athletic Training. The best part is having the opportunity to continue to live out our vocation by educating and mentoring the next generation of Athletic Trainers!”
