Dr. Aaron Purhmann Published in Deviant Behavior Journal

Dr. Aaron Puhrmann, Assistant Professor of Criminal Justice and Sociology at Grand View, and Dr. Christian Schlaerth of Waldorf University were recently published in the journal Deviant Behavior. Their research explores the process of how men come to identify with the incel (involuntary celibate) subculture. They propose examining incel membership through the lens of perceived social death, a process in which incels believe themselves to be involuntarily disengaged and excluded from society - pushing them to seek others in a similar situation.
