A Step-by-Step FAFSA Event is a virtual walk through of the FAFSA form in which participants join a Zoom call and fill out the FAFSA while being led through the form by an ICAN professional. Additional FAFSA helpers will be available through the chat feature or breakout rooms to answer questions and provide assistance.

Don't worry about getting stuck while you're filling out the FAFSA - lots of help is available, starting with your school's financial aid office. They'll help you with any questions you have at any step of the process.
The FAFSA website is also a great resource, with a live chat option and a designated helpline at 800-4FED-AID. There is a Frequently Asked Questions page available that you may find helpful before you begin the process. There is even a FAFSA YouTube channel! Check it out for step-by-step instructions on creating an FSA ID, filling out the form, help understanding the different types of aid, and more.
