Grand View University Strategic Plan
Over the last year, Grand View University worked collaboratively with stakeholders to develop its 2024-28 strategic plan, intended to outline of the future direction of the institution.
As part of the planning process, the following steps were taken:
- An Agility Assessment was conducted to understand the health of the organization’s current strategy.
- Visioning interviews with the President’s Council and the Board of Trustees through a series of interviews and focus groups. Focus groups were also held with alumni, faculty, staff and learners.
- University-wide Climate Study to understand current and desired organizational satisfaction, needs, communication flows, and culture at Grand View.
- Benchmark analysis was performed against the competitive and collaborative environments, looking at areas such as key capabilities, demographics, and growth goals of comparable universities in similar communities.
- Environmental Analysis was undertaken to define the macroeconomic and microeconomic key trends, events, and decisions that will impact Grand View now and in the future.
- Purpose, Mission, Vision and Values were explored deeply and refined to support greater alignment of stakeholders and articulate a bold future state.
As a result of the strategic planning initiative, we boldly envision a campus culture that values lifelong learning through academics that meet evolving needs, embraces inclusivity, celebrates innovation and provides an environment where students and our community thrive. Together, we will create a future for Grand View that honors our past successes and espouses the School for Life principles. This modern vision will provide the direction and momentum needed to seize opportunities and ensure a vibrant future for Grand View University.
