Dr. Woods Organizes National Psychology Teaching Conference
July 30, 2023
Dr. Josh Woods, Associate Professor and Director of the PSYC Research Lab, recently helped organize the Psych ONE conference at Duke University. This conference acts as a hub to share and explore the best teaching practices for Introductory Psychology courses throughout the United States.
Psych ONE is a conference that grew out of the Psych ONE program at Stanford University which is just one reason it attracts some of the most talented Introductory to Psychology teachers in the nation. This year's keynote speakers included Dr. David Myers (Hope College), Dr. Daniel Oppenheimer (Carnegie Mellon University), and Dr. Afiya Mbilishaka (University of the District of Columbia).
Dr. Woods was in charge of organizing this conference with his fellow committee members Dr. Bridgette Martin Hard (Duke University & founder of Psych ONE), Dr. Dana Nater (University of Arizona), Prof. Rachelle Tannenbaum (Anne Arundel Community College), Prof. Benjamin White (University of Tennessee). More information about the conference can be found here.
