Kristin Larson Directing ONCE at The Des Moines Playhouse

Kristin Larson, Professor of Theatre Arts and Speech at Grand View, is directing ONCE at The Des Moines Playhouse. The production opens September 8 and plays through September 24. ONCE is a Tony Award winning musical based on the popular indie film with the same name staring Glen Hansaard and Marketa Irglova.  

ONCE is a bittersweet tale about an Irish musician who is about to give up on his art, when he meets a Czech immigrant (also a musician) and they create something beautiful that changes their lives together in the span of a week. The musical is unique, because all of the actors are also the musicians and the dancers in the production!
