President Keck Skydives to Support Above + Beyond Cancer

On Sunday, August 20, President Rachelle Keck went skydiving to support Above + Beyond Cancer. Over the next month, Central Iowa leaders in business, health, philanthropy, government and more will be tandem parachuting to support the cause. More than $80,000 has been raised so far to support cancer survivor programs. Above + Beyond Cancer was founded in 2011 by Des Moines oncologist Richard Deming. Keck reflects, "Thank you Des Moines Skydivers for helping us raise critical funds to support Above & Beyond Cancer. A truly unforgettable experience, with the absolute best diving comrades. It’s been 2,161 days since Jim was diagnosed with Stage 4 cancer; 2,066 days since he rang the bell signifying the end of his treatment; and 216 days since he was given the 5-year all-clear. Praise God! Sadly, we lost my nephew, little Eli at 18 months from pinealblastoma 3,795 days ago, and we lost my brother-in-law Troy 2,843 days ago. Too many days since we’ve seen you, but we WILL see you again on the other side of eternity. It’s not too late to donate; every dollar matters.
