Dr. Kathryn Pohlmann Duffy is the director of the Grand View Choir and professor of music at Grand View University. She holds degrees in music from Wartburg College, Kansas State University, and the University of Chicago. Duffy earned her Ph.D. in musicology from the University of Chicago with a dissertation on the music and liturgy at the Castle Church in Wittenberg on the eve of the Reformation. She recently led the Grand View Choir in its fourth European tour with repertoire and tour locations celebrating the Reformation. Her work has been honored by Grand View University with its Excellence in Teaching and Mentoring Award (2000) and its Excellence and Innovation in Teaching Award (2016). She has also been recognized by Wartburg College with an Alumni Citation (2014), given for personal and professional work in leadership, service, faith, and learning.
