Grand View University's football team capped off a historic season on Saturday, December 21st, with a commanding performance in the NAIA National Championship. The Vikings faced off against previous National Champions, Keiser University, and delivered a dominant 35-7 victory.

Grand View University announced E.J. Peterson's appointment as head football coach for the Vikings. A proud 2011 Grand View alumnus, E.J. Peterson brings a wealth of experience to his new role, having spent the past six years as the Defensive Coordinator and Assistant Coach for the nation's top NAIA defense. During that time, the program achieved unparalleled success, including an undefeated regular season record over six seasons. Peterson's elevation marks the beginning of an exciting new era for Vikings football. He replaces Joe Woodley, who led the Vikings as head coach for six successful seasons.

Peterson announced the promotion of Tyler Martin to Defensive Coordinator for the Grand View University football team. Martin, a veteran of the Grand View University football program, has been the Defensive Backs coach and Special Teams Coordinator for twelve seasons. In the 2024 season, he played a pivotal role in shaping one of the most dominant defenses in NAIA history, working alongside former Defensive Coordinator and current Head Coach E.J. Peterson.

Peterson announced the promotion of Jordan Knock '17 to Offensive Coordinator for the Grand View University football team. Jordan Knock, a 2017 Grand View graduate who recently completed his third season at Grand View as the Quarterbacks and Wide Receivers Coach and Recruiting Coordinator, played a pivotal role in preparing the 2024 squad for the National Title. Under his guidance, the Vikings averaged 188.0 passing yards and 402.9 total yards per game, ranking them among the top ten nationally.

Peterson has announced that Adam Dutcher '11 has been hired as the Vikings' offensive line coach and recruiting coordinator. Adam Dutcher, a 2011 graduate of Grand View University, has rejoined the Viking football staff as the offensive line coach and recruiting coordinator, a role he previously held from 2019 to 2021. During his earlier tenure with the Vikings, Dutcher was instrumental in helping the team achieve its second-ever National Title appearance.
