Brooks Reynolds '00 Elected to Grand View Board of Trustees

Brooks Reynolds '00 has joined the Grand View University Board of Trustees. Reynolds is Chairman of Des Moines' Blue Ribbon Bacon Festival, better known as BaconFest. The Blue Ribbon Bacon Festival has helped raise over $1,000,000 for local nonprofits through volunteering, giveaways, and donations. Over 85,000 people have attended since 2008.

In 2021, he became CEO of Jr's SouthPork Ranch, an establishment on the Iowa State Fairgrounds that serves all things pork and provides a lively food and music experience. In 2021, he received the Iowa State Fair’s Innovation in Excellence Award. From 2021-2023, he received the Queen’s Choice at the Iowa State Fair and in 2023 the Best Sandwich by Catch Des Moines’ “Des Best Sandwiches in Central Iowa."

Brooks has received many awards, recognitions and accomplishments throughout his career. He has also served in leadership roles and currently sits on the Iowa Bacon Board.
