Grand View Announces New Master of Science in Analytics Program

Grand View University is excited to announce a new graduate program, Master of Science in Analytics. Data analysis plays a crucial role in solving organizational challenges and making effective business decisions. The graduate degree in Analytics is designed for students interested in mastering the process of making data-informed decisions. This is Grand View’s ninth graduate degree program.

Oscar Aguilar, Assistant Professor of Analytics at Grand View, says “In early 2023, ChatGPT was released to the masses. As a consequence, companies are hungrier than ever to hire analytics/data science professionals who can assist them in analyzing their data and leveraging it to make better decisions in a fast-paced market.”

This 30-33 credit program is designed for students with any undergraduate background and can be completed in as little as one year. Aguilar adds, “Students enrolled in the master in analytics program at Grand View University will acquire essential techniques and tools to analyze diverse types of structured and unstructured datasets. This knowledge aims to empower companies to gain a competitive edge in the market.”

According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics’ Occupational Outlook Handbook, overall employment of business and data analysts and related positions is expected to grow at 10% (much faster than average) from 2022-2032. Grand View is excited to offer this new program to meet the needs of local businesses and organizations.
