KC McGinnis Shoots Photos for The New York Times

KC McGinnis, Professor of Practice I, Communication & Media Practice at Grand View, recently had his photos published for a story by The New York Times. The story is titled, "Teachers Are Missing More School, and There Are Too Few Substitutes."

McGinnis says, "It was fun connecting with area high school students and teachers for this story on teacher absences and substitute teacher shortages. One challenge for this story was to make photos that didn't identify the students. I got to share my solution to this problem, and the technical and creative process behind it, with my Basic Digital Photography students earlier this week."
