Graphic Design Students Receive Awards from Art Directors Association of Iowa

Senior students' design works have been recognized with awards from the Art Directors Association of Iowa. Last Friday, students attended the ADAI awards ceremony for the 66th Annual Design Exhibition, where they joined local professionals and fellow graphic design enthusiasts in celebrating their achievements. Hyena Nam, Assistant Professor of Graphic Design, also attended the ceremony with her students.
The ADAI annual juried exhibition is one of the Midwest’s largest design competitions, drawing in hundreds of submissions annually.
The following students received awards:
- Anika Maliwat: Award of Excellence for Sales Promotion / Award of Excellence for Illustration
- Kirby Daniel: Award of Excellence for Book Design
- Logan Disbrow: Award of Excellence for Online/Interactive / Award of Excellence for Integrated Brand System / Best of Category for Integrated Brand System
- Mason Nickolaus: Best of Category for Identity System
- Meredith Battles: Award of Excellence for Book Design / Award of Excellence for Identity System
- Gabi Criscuolo: Award of Excellence for Integrated Brand System
In addition, the senior graphic design students and Professor Nam received the Shortlisted Winner Awards from the London International Creative Competition. Notably, Logan Disbrow's work has earned the Non-Professional Finalist Award (best of category) in the Graphic Design student category. The London International Creative Competition celebrates the most innovative and forward-thinking creative talents, with thousands of submissions from around the world.
