GV MSAT Students Advocate for Athletic Training Profession at Iowa State Capitol

March 2, 2025

On February 25, students from the Grand View University Master of Science in Athletic Training (MSAT) program took part in a powerful day of advocacy at the Iowa State Capitol. The event, known as Hit the Hill Day, provided an opportunity for future athletic trainers to engage directly with lawmakers, lobbyists, and other stakeholders to discuss the importance of their profession and its impact on healthcare.

"Being able to speak directly with legislators about the impact of our work is an invaluable experience," said a GV MSAT student. "This day gives us a platform to not only advocate for our profession but also to highlight the importance of athletic training in the overall healthcare system."
