Hyena Nam Wins IBDA Idea Design Award

Hyena Nam, Assistant Professor of Art and Design at Grand View, has won the IBDA Idea Design Award at the 2024 International Busan Design Award. The piece, "Blanche Armwood," will be exhibited at the BEXCO Exhibition Center in Busan, South Korea, during Busan Design Week, starting on October 24.

Hyena says, "I am grateful for the opportunity to showcase my work in Korea, my home country, and to raise awareness about Blanche's lifelong dedication to equal rights for Black women and women's rights to international audiences. Additionally, I am thankful that my poster design, "Vote for a Better Future," created for AIGA's Get Out the Vote campaign, received the Gold Award from the 2024 UDA International Poster Design Competition. I hope this poster can help convey the importance of voting for a better future!"
